My SafeTag Mag 2nd Gen won't charge

Please check you have a Mag Second Gen before proceeding. This Mag has a rubber flap covering the sim, charging port and a power switch. If you have a Mag 1st Gen, please refer to the relevant article. The SafeTag Mag 2nd Gen looks like this:





Can you confirm you've followed the bottom five steps?

1. You're using the original white cable.

2. You're allowing the tracker to charge for at least 4-6 hours.

3. You're using a standalone wall adapter.

4. You're charging the unit until the red charging light goes solid green.

5. After charging to green, can you confirm that you've switched the tracker on

6. If you're watching the battery indicator on the app, ensure that you are in an area with 4G or 2G signal, as the tracker needs to connect to the internet to update this information on the app.
