Can I reduce my tracker refresh rate to longer intervals to extend my tracker's battery life?

Your tracker will update it's location every 10-40 seconds (based on your tracker type and chosen subscription plan) when the tracker is on the move, to give you the chance to follow the vehicle accurately along it's journey.

We understand that our customers may wish to extend their rechargeable tracker's battery life and would like to request a lower location update interval (e.g. from 30 seconds to 5 minutes) in order to achieve this.

However, after extensive testing, we've found that reducing the tracker's refresh rate down to a longer interval, will not increase battery life of our devices. The reason for this, is because of how optimised and efficient our trackers are at uploading location data.

We want the best possible tracking experience for our customers (especially in the event of theft) and as this provides almost no benefit, we don't offer support for dropping our tracker's refresh rate can't be dropped below the 30/40 second standard refresh rate.

The tracker refresh rate can also be increased under the subscription management options in your tracker settings to allow the tracker to refresh every 20 or even 10 seconds.
