What is the range of a SafeTag GPS Tracker?

The range of a SafeTag GPS Tracker is virtually unlimited!

Just like how your phone accesses the internet, SafeTag GPS trackers use cellular networks (4G/2G) to communicate with your phone.  Our trackers use GPS to determine their location, and this is securely sent to your phone via 2G or 4G cellular networks, depending on the model.

2G & 4G network signal are becoming increasingly universal in all areas of the globe. As long as the tracker is within their coverage area (see our plans page online), and has a data signal (4G or 2G), it can transmit location data regardless of distance.

This means you can track your vehicle, or other assets wherever cellular coverage is available, making SafeTag trackers a globally compatible solution, and one where you don't have to worry about where you or your assets are, as long as they are in range or 2G or 4G coverage.
