To make using and setting up the SafeTag Web & Mobile App simple, the app automatically adapts to your device's time & date settings. This ensures that your experience is personalised to you and consistent with everything else on your phone, tablet or desktop.
How does it work?
The SafeTag app utilises the following settings from your laptop or phone's settings :
Your Selected Time Zone: The app displays times based on the time zone you have set on your device. This ensures that you see the correct local time for your location.
Your Preferred Time Format: e.g. 12-hour or 24-hour time format.
Your Regional Date Format: e.g. DD/MM/YY or MM/DD/YY.
These settings influence how dates and times are displayed in several key areas of the app, including:
The Last Location Update Time: The most recent location update for your tracker
The My Trackers Page: The most recent connection from your tracker
Timestamps on the History Page: Timestamps are displayed when reviewing past journeys & location points.
Timestamps in the Alerts Feed: The timestamps shown on the Alert Page on mobile & the Alert Feed on our Web App
How do I change the format?
If you wish to modify how dates or times appear in the app, you will need to update the region, language, or date and time settings on your device. Once you make these changes and close and re-open the app, the SafeTag Web and Mobile App will automatically adjust to reflect the new formats.
If you’re unsure where to locate these settings, please try:
1. Search your device’s settings for "Date" or "Time"
2. Check with your phone's support guide using a search engine, e.g. "How to change time format on (your device)"
3. Reaching out to the manufacturer for assistance.
Unfortunately, there are so many phones, tablets, and laptops that we're unable to provide personalised guidance on finding this setting.
